DHRITIMAN CHATERJI
Dhritiman Chaterji commenced his acting career in cinema in Satyajit Ray’s PratidwandiThe Adversary and has since worked with leading filmmakers like Mrinal Sen, Aparna Sen, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Jahnu Barua, Jane Campion and others.
He has recently re- engaged with theatre and is involved with a Chennai- based repertory company.

MS SATHYU
MS Sathyu  is a leading film director, stage designer and art director from India. His film Garam Hawa is a film on the Partition of India. He is a leftist intellectual. He is a recipient of the Padma Shri. Sathyu conducted his schooling and higher education at Mysore and Bangalore. In 1952 he quit college while working on his Bachelors of Science degree and instead plunged into the uncertain world of films in Bombay. He freelanced as an animator in 1952-3. After being unemployed for nearly four years, he got his first salaried job as assistant director to film-maker Chetan Anand. He has also received a Doctorate from the Mangalore University.

NAYANTARA SAHGAL
Nayantara Sahgal is the author of nine novels, five non-fiction works, and wide-ranging literary and political commentary. She has received the Sahitya Akademi Award, the Sinclair Prize, and the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize. She is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and has an Honorary Doctorate of Letters from Leeds University.

RANJIT KAPOOR
Ranjit Kapoor is a well known dialogue and screenplay writer. Some of his famous movies are Jaaane Bhi Do Yaaron, The Bandit Queen, Lajja, The Rising (Mangal Pandey) and most recently, Chintu ji. He has also written the script for many TV plays, films and serials for channels such as Doordarshan, Apart from that he is also a well known  music composer and director. Chekov Ki Duniya, Ameer Khusrau and Kauva Chala Hans ki Chaal are some of his important works.
In the theatre world, he has done translations, adaptions and direction for more than forty plays.
In 2005, he won The Sangeet Natak Academy Award for Life Time Achievement in Direction.
In 2010, he won the Stardust Award for the Best Director for the film CHINTU JI.

SEEMA BISWAS
Seema Biswas is an Indian film and theatre actress from Assam who shot into prominence with the role of Phoolan Devi in Shekhar Kapur’s film Bandit Queen (1994). She has a reputation for performing strong character roles.Biswas won the 1996 National Film Award for Best Actress for her role in the film. She won the 2000 Sangeet Natak Akademi Award and the 2006 Best Actress Genie Award for her role as Shakuntala in Deepa Mehta’s Water (2005).

VIJAYA MEHTA
Recipient of numerous national and international awards, Dr. Vijaya has been to various countries such as U.K., France, West Germany etc to study acting, directing and training methods form. Since 1974, she has worked as a freelance director and actress in National and International theatre. Her Marathi productions such as – Hamidabai Chi Kothi, Barrister, Sandhya Chaya, Shakuntala, Hayavadan – earned wide acclaim.
She received the Sangeet Natak Akademi award in 1975 for outstanding contribution as a theatre director and in 1985 – the Padmashree from the President of India. Amongst the many special appointments – Vijaya Mehta was elected in 1987 as President of Akhil Bharatiya Natya Parishad. She was appointed Chairman of the National School of Drama from 1988 to 1992. She represented the Dorabji Tata Trust as its Trustee, on the NCPA council from 1989 to 1992 and was appointed Executive Director of the National Centre for the Performing Arts in August 1993.
