We all have people we hero-worship. Anand too has his heroes.  His heroes are famous writers and legendary characters because Anand fancies himself as a writer.  And like most fans, he too wants to become one with his heroes. But he doesn’t start a fan-club. He starts a story.

In a story everything is larger than life. Heroes become superheroes. Life becomes a thriller. A suspense thriller! A mythical search for the Red Sparrow!  Do they find the sparrow? Is there anything to find? And is there anything to search? God knows! Because a story is a story is a story.

DIRECTOR’S NOTE:
Red Sparrow is a very special play for me as it involved all my ideas and inspirations. Using Charles Bukovsky, Kafka, Nirmal Verma and Vinod Kumar Shukla as characters in the play was a pleasure as they’re all my favourite authors. And though the play talks of writers block and finding the ever evasive red sparrow, I think this time the red sparrow just found me…
